The New York Times called her an exceptional storyteller and her stories have appeared in a range of different literary magazines and collections. The Nigerian writer Ayọ̀bámi Adébáyọ̀ (1988) studied English and Literature and has a Master’s in Creative Writing. She has also been the editor of the literary magazine Sarabafor almost ten years. She made her debut last year with Stay With Me (Canongate Books, 2017), a novel about love and letting go. The book was nominated for the Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction and the Dylan Thomas Prize. Signatuur published the Dutch translation, Blijf bij mij, this year.
