Ingmar Heytze (1970) made his debut in 1997 with his second collection De allesvrezer at the Night of Poetry and this started a glittering career. He was the first official Utrecht City Poet, received the C.C.S. Crone Prize and the Maartenspenning award from the city of Utrecht, and this year sees the release of his twelfth collection of poetry. At the ILFU Book Parade he will be sharing a preview of his new collection Ik wilde je iets moois vertellen (I Wanted to Tell You Something Beautiful), which will be published by Podium in October.  He will be sharing the stage with Asfaltfeeën, the band Heytze formed with Ellen Deckwitz and Cor van Ingen (bassist for Spinvis) in 2009. The addition of Julius de Paauw and Johan Borger has strengthened the trio and in their own words, they perform “a musically poetic experiment where sound and verse mutually reinforce each other to produce something that transcends language and tone.”
