Jonathan Griffioen (1987) was the finalist of the writing competition Write Now! in 2012 and semi-finalist of the NK Poetry Slam in 2015. He made a successful debut in 2015 with his collection Wijk, which was nominated for the C. Buddingh’ prize. His poems were previously published in De Optimist and Het Liegend Konijnand following the release of his collection, Griffioen has appeared at the Night of Poetry for two consecutive years. His latest publication was released in September: Gedichten met een Mazda 626 (Poems with a Mazda 626) (Lebowski, 2018) is about the physically and spiritually exhausting journey into the subconscious.
