As a child, Margje Woodrow (1975) wanted to be a farrier or a journalist. Instead she became a primary school teacher and author of thrilling young adult books. Woodrow made her literary debut in 2013 with Examendeal (Gottmer, 2013), a story inspired by her years of experience in teaching and since then, she has published five youth thrillers. Woodrow gives many lectures and workshops in secondary schools about reading and writing. She is currently working on a new book, Buitenspel, about choices, regret and peer pressure.
