Although she only made her literary debut in 2015, Marloes Morshuis has actually been writing her whole life. On her seventh birthday, she created her own mini-book and when she was seventeen, she covered Ameland with poems. Morshuis is obsessed with writing, especially writing for children. She has since written three children’s book, which are not only thrilling but are also topical. Her latest book is De schaduwen van Radovar (Lemniscaat, 2018). The residents of the city of Sterrenlicht are in the grip of the family score: a points system for climbing up in society. Jona tries to escape the system and puts herself and her family in great danger. On Saturday 22 September, Marloes Morshuis will be appearing at the Utrechtse Kinderboekhandel to discuss De schaduwen van Radovar.
