Niels Bokhove studied and gained his doctorate in philosophy from the University of Utrecht. He also has a broad interest in culture and literary history. He specialises in Central and Eastern European culture and literature by authors such as Franz Kafka, Bruno Schultz and David Vogel. At the moment, Bokhove is working as a freelance writer, he is researching events and meetings of writers in Utrecht in the 1930s and he regularly organises interesting and factual historical literary walking tours around Utrecht, Prague and Bergen. Bokhove also compiles the De Utrechtse Boekhouder magazine several times a year, which includes historical articles about literary Utrecht.
